OFFICIAL NOTICE OF ELECTION AND SAMPLE BALLOT
Official notice of election and sample ballot for the Retired and Separated Participant Representative seat is now available. The term of the seat will begin July 1, 2021 and end June 30, 2024. Election Day is Thursday, May 13, 2021. In order to be counted, ballots must be received by the Office of the City Clerk – Election Division no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

VOTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEWLY ELIGIBLE
RETIRED AND SEPARATED DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN (DCP) PARTICIPANTS
Current participants in the DCP (meaning they have an account balance with the DCP) who are retired or otherwise separated from City service after Tuesday, April 13, 2021 and wish to vote must obtain a certificate verifying their eligibility to vote by contacting Mindy Lam at (213) 978-1644 or via email at mindy.lam@lacity.org. Beginning May 6, through May 13, 2021, participants may present the certificate to the Office of the City Clerk – Election Division to receive a ballot by emailing Clerk.ElectionAdmin@lacity.org. The Office of the City Clerk – Election Division will provide voting instructions, an official ballot, and a postage-paid envelope to be executed according to established procedures.
If you are a current participant of the DCP who is also a former employee retired or separated from City service on or prior to April 13, 2021, a ballot packet will be mailed to your mailing address on file with the DCP. In order to be counted, your ballot must be received by the Office of the City Clerk – Election Division no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
