  1. Create an Account for online DCP account access by clicking on the “CREATE AN ACCOUNT” button below.

  2. Login with your DCP Username and Password.

  3. Click the “Enroll Now” button and follow the prompts.

  • Enter a contribution amount (percent-of-pay or dollar amount).

  • Select an investment option(s).

  • Select a beneficiary.

Please allow 1 to 2 pay periods for your first payroll deduction.

 

Sworn

Police Officers and Firefighters

  1. Download the Enrollment Form by clicking on the “DOWNLOAD THE FORM” button below).

  2. Complete all sections on the form:

    • Enter your participant and employment information.

    • Enter a contribution amount (percent-of-pay or dollar amount).

    • Select an investment option(s).

    • Sign the form.

  3. Submit the form by faxing or mailing it to the listed locations at the bottom of page 2 of the form.

  4. Create an Account for online DCP account access. You will receive a letter inviting you to register for DCP account access once your enrollment form is processed.

Please allow 3 to 5 business days to establish your DCP account. Also allow 1 to 2 pay periods for your first payroll deduction.

What is the DCP?

The City of Los Angeles Deferred Compensation Plan is a voluntary tax-advantaged governmental 457(b) plan that allows you to save a portion of your salary now so you can enjoy it later in retirement. You decide how much to save, how to manage your taxes for retirement, and how to invest.


Who can join?

Eligible employees are members of the Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System (LACERS), Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions (LAFPP), or the Water & Power Employee Retirement Program (WPERP).

All DCP assets are held in trust for the exclusive benefit of participants and their beneficiaries, and oversight is provided by the City’s Board of Deferred Compensation Administration. With the DCP, saving is easy and automatic. You can select a percentage of your pay to save and it’s deducted directly from your biweekly paycheck.
