FILING PERIOD OPEN FOR SPECIAL ELECTION FOR WPERP REPPRESENTATIVE
Participants of the Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP) who are also active employee members of the Water and Power Employees’ Retirement Plan (WPERP) are eligible to participate as a candidate in the Thursday, September 16, 2021 special election for the Board of Deferred Compensation Administration Active Participant WPERP Representative seat.
Thursday, July 29, 2021 is the first day for participants to obtain candidate materials to be placed on the Official Ballot. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 4:00 pm is the last day to return completed candidate materials.

The following instructions are to be used in obtaining and returning candidate materials:
Each proposed candidate must present a valid state identification card in order to verify participation in the DCP and active membership with WPERP.
Each proposed candidate shall be issued candidate materials, either electronically via email or in-person by appointment. Both electronic and ink signatures will be accepted.
Each proposed candidate shall sign the Control Sheet verifying the receipt of candidate materials and return electronically via email or in-person by appointment. The petition numbers will be identified on the Control Sheet.
Each proposed candidate shall sign the Control Sheet indicating the return of the candidate materials and return electronically via email or in-person by appointment.
The Employee Benefits Division/Deferred Compensation Plan will distribute and receive candidate materials from July 29, 2021 through August 12, 2021.
All completed petitions will be reviewed for certification of sufficiency or insufficiency by the Office of the City Clerk – Election Division. Proposed candidates will be notified by email of their candidacy.
